Calculating the Cost of Employee Turnover
January 9, 2012
Retaining experienced employees and reducing turnover were key goals voiced by owners of minority businesses at a brainstorming session with Sen. Patricia Torres Ray and the Metropolitan Economic Development Association at the Minnesota state capitol last year.
Still, the true value of avoiding employee turnover may be hard to pin down. Now business owners have a new tool to help them do just that. The Turnover Calculator, developed by the Center for Economic and Policy Research in Washington DC, allows employers to easily calculate the cost of turnover in just 10 questions.
